LAurence Causse-Parsley
London based visual artist
French born, educated in Paris and Britain, LAC’s first solo exhibition took place in Mumbai, India, in 2003.
After 10 years in Asia, she came back to London.
Shuttling between countries and cultures, LAC gives herself the freedom to select materials from changing contexts, the result being a very distinctive style built on mixed media, layering techniques and a bold use of colour inherited from her Mediterranean childhood.
Since 2015, LAC has developed a consistent body of work within the Abstract Landscape genre. Her paintings are created out of memories, depicting a very personal experience of urban or natural sceneries.
Part of the Make Space Studios in South East London since 2011, LAC has been involved in many group exhibitions in the UK.
Her mixed media landscapes have met collectors’ approval and curators’ interest. In the last few years, she was invited for solo shows by the Brompton Chapel, the London French Consulate and Hampstead School of Art. She has won several prizes on the London Art scene.
LAC ‘s works is part of numerous private and galleries collections, in Britain, in Europe and internationally as far as Japan where she was an artist in residence (Kyoto) in April 2016.
